Enclosure Setup:
Enclosures should be large enough to allow for exploration and web building, Jumping spiders are arboreal meaning they like to live up high,
They are known for their agility and ability to climb.
Choose a suitable enclosure with good cross ventilation made of glass, plastic or acrylic, ensuring it's easy to clean and doesn't harbour bacteria.
Substrate and Humidity
Use a moisture retentive substrate like coco coir, peat or commercial spider substrate to maintain humidity at a level of 50-60%, but research the specific needs of your species , as some may require higher humidity.
Temperature
Most jumping spiders thrive in temperatures between 20-28*c (69-82*f)
Misting
Misting the enclosure lightly with a small spray bottle is a good way to maintain humidity and provide drinking water.
Feeding
Jumping spiders require live food, such as fruit flies, green or blue bottle flies, depending on the size of your spider, feed two to three times a week, depending on size and activity level.
Handling ,Webs and Molting
Handle your jumping spider with care at a safe height to avoid injury to your new friend.
Webs should be left undisturbed, they are your jumping spiders safe space! If you notice the web become thick this means your little friend is getting ready to molt, during this process they will be in a fragile state and it's best to not disturb them.
